> NOTTWIL Tetrahand Assessments – for a better outcome

Assessments

Pre- and postop assessments – an important tool for evaluation

By assessing hand and arm functions pre- and postoperatively, we are continuously evaluating our outcomes. Of most importance for us are the so-called patient reported outcome measures (= PROM’s).

We use the following standardized assessments:

  • COPM (Canadian Occupational Performance Measure)
  • GRT (Grasp and Release Test)
  • ARMA (Arm Activity Measure)
  • MRC Muscle score for strength
The assessments are performed at defined time points before and after the operation, usually preoperative and 6 and 12 months postoperative.
